For me personally I like ranchu because I know it is a never ending journey..I do like many types of fancy goldfish(oranda,tosakin,etc)but feel ranchu is the big passion as many goldfish lovers would agree...the work required to produce quality ranchu side view and top view is a sign of the dedicati...

The tail spread is okay for me. I only find it too thin and small.
