For a calico to look attractive, it has to have fine black dot evenly spread around the body. In my opinion, this is why this fish stands up.

Normally quite hard to find a nice one with good curve. What attracts is the pattern, head growth and bulkiness :)

Is calico more expensive than SVR? I am talking about the same size.

It is hard to compare, SVR comes from both Thai and China, and majority of Calico comes from China. So pricing wise may not be apple to apple :)
