I like this color very much. I am working on this right now, so this is a premature work. Head and shape is not right yet. Enjoy the color, have a good day

Re: My svr (Hermanto)
The upper part of its body has a bluish-grey hue decorated by soft spots or specks of orange and black. While the lower part is white...nice, soft contrast...i like it too. ^_^

@pak Neo, thank you
@tosakin fancier, and also the scattered shiny metalic scales

Re: My svr (Hermanto)
I've enjoyed very much reading and looking at your fish thru your blogs and forums. I can only hope to breed as successfully as you and Cincy Ranchu. I know its a slow work in progress, but it's much appreciated.
Re: My svr (Hermanto)
Thank you. There is no reason you cannot

Newest fancy color in my collection. Do you like this uncommon color?

Re: My svr (Hermanto)
Very nice,
are those glittering scales from Sakura genes?

Re: My svr (Hermanto)
Yes, to be more precise, it comes from the transparent scales. Not necessarily sakura. Calico can do the trick also. You have a sharp eyes. Indeed, this whole phenomenon of glittering scales has been in my mind also. How they happen in the first place, and are they different from or the same as the shiny scales we sometimes see in calico? What should be our intelligent guess?
Re: My svr (Hermanto)
Well, my guess is that it is from the calico gene.
Some breeders like to breed out these reflective scales so to have total matt look.
While some breeders would like to have these reflective scales spread around the body.
Hermanto, do you have your both posted fish without reflective scale?
i was imagining if the fish is purely matt (no reflective scale) and have a lighter tone colour, it would looks like a true blue fish.....just playing with my imagination out loud......smile

Re: My svr (Hermanto)
True blue fish is also in my dream, Wolverine. But I do not have that right now. I read somewhere that it is not achievable. Though we might get rid of the reflective metallic scale, we might not be able to get rid of the black dots of calico. But in case one day we might be able to develop such fish, I would want it to be blue (sky blue) on top, and white on the bottom. And I have reserved a name for that: DORAEMON!

Re: My svr (Hermanto)
I like your ranchu very much and to me seem impossible to breed such colours. I also love the fine scalation i wish to breed myself.
This idea of a blue and white calico with matte apearance is possible i think. I had this calico Ryukin which was very close to matte, blue and white with scattered black dots, but the black reduced without the blue disappearing. It had a belly skin reflection of calico, just around the head it showed pink matte tones. When i bought this fish it had 1 metallic gillplate which became matte not shortly after i bought it. In this picture it is about 6 months old.

Thank you, HinFin.
Let's see. Sometimes I dream of creating a certain fish, and trying without clear planning, then suddenly I see it among my offspring. Hopefully that dream can also come true

Thank you mr Hermanto,
I am new to breeding so my dream is blurred still, i hope i will get there some day, it does keep my mind occupied. I must say it is a great joy to be among the fish even if i do not have time to breed them with every spawn. Wishing for very early retirement
