Unknown illness

Post by unitlancer » Thu Feb 04, 2016 1:16 am

Hi guys, recently I have been noticing red spots on my fish head, and not on any parts of the body! Attached are some pictures of this 'unknown'! Anyone knows what illness is this?

Hi Jean,

Personally, i am not good in medicating the fish.
But to start with such cases are cause by the water condition.

Please do regular water change for a few days and reduce feeding and see if there is any improvement.

agree to do more frequent water change to see if it goes away. Sometimes for oranda/lionchu there will be some kind of white looking 'pimples' on their wen, it will go away within hours.. but if the white spot is surrounded by blood streaks then perhaps those are parasites. So, close monitoring will be helpful.. hard to recommend any med unless it is a clear sign of certain sickness. But I do fancy frequent WC plus 1% salt bath in any 'unknown' and mild situation as immediate remedy before medicine comes into pic. Hope situation will change for your fishes..
