loss of mass

Post by ranchuzoid » Thu Jan 17, 2013 1:20 pm

One of my ranchu has not been eating for days. I treated it with yellow powder and it flush out the whitish waste. Till today it's not eating and it has lost a huge amount of mass.

Swimming actively now as before treatment, so I assumed that it has recovered from internal bacteria. tried giving him a few piece of pellets to the hospital tank and it totally ignores it.

what can I do?

PS,I thought of doing a PP dip for it as the last resort.

If the fish is behaving well not eating maybe due to some reasons. How is he swimming around the community...You can entise him with FBW and feed him together with the other fishes. Report his progress.

He's alone in a 2 footer. I intend to pump him with pellets to bring up his mass. fbw is his favorite food. But then I feel like if a fish don't eat both types of food, then there's something wrong.

I will feed him with fbw, tonight. Will report more, later.

Thanks, Mr LLC.

After monitoring him closely today, he took his last breath 5 minutes ago. I'm grateful that I could spend time with him through his recovery and unfortunately, death.

Feeling sad, but life goes on.
