SBD or SBP?..the former can put in freezer liao. however you can waste some expensive Metronidazole (antibiotics use for both human and pets) if available. The latter curable and purge in magic walls or magic water but strictly no feeding of pellets for awhile.

PS. That's where my gel food comes in for SBP.

You don't treat sick fish wat, where you are interested in medicines. This is the most effective antibiotics for treating internal protozoan in gfs. I use it a lot.

Pellets is a known cause of SBP, if you overfeed without control. If strictly on live feed it would be ex, so one of ways is make live feed (FBW) as staple and pellets as supplement. Question is can one afford?

Everything has a limit with boundary conditions. My words is only on one aspect limit, on the other limit, there is this condition of doing your hobby well. If fish not doing well and keep on kong up like having SBP, the hobby would not last too as is damn demoralizing and financial draining.

Moderate and balance the hobby within the boundry conditions is the best way, so that your hobby can last.

This is another inspiring reply to me. Enjoy the hobby your way, adapt to your lifestyle, and your expectation.

One hobbyist once said, if you have space constraint, then keep your fish within your constraint or play creatively with that constraint. If your purpose of fishkeeping is for your own pleasure, not for competition or show, then no need to follow the comp or show grade way of rearing and grooming.

Just keep them healthy, groom within your means, and enjoy the fishes.

Take it easy with feeding and feed a variety of food. Your fish will last longer..don't just pump pump pump.
