Survey on Fish Food

Post by LauLanChu » Tue Mar 11, 2008 11:58 am

Dear Forum users,

Long way for the club to show appreciate of your active contribution to the forum.
The Club is constantly on a brainstorming session how to make the forum more useful to the users.
After spending months of research and a review, we realised there is a trend of providing some products to the user might be good.
So we would like to start off with goldfish food. The first brand that came to our mind is 'Ranchu Selection'.

Image

Firstly this brand is not so commonly available in every store and secondly, it is quite a good for value food among the rest of the Japanese product.

So if you are interested, please feel free to suggest, and the club would see what we can do to bring in with competitive price.

The ingredient has more vegetable. (Which the club think it's good, since many common brand has less veg.)

We have done out a comparison table with the rest of the typical Japanese brand.
From the table, the lossing out in term of percentage is in FAT:-

I have also extract out the portion on comment on this food from our article "Best Food for Goldfish?" article:-

http://www.fynnmood.sg/articles_goldfishfood.html

"Small sinking pellet, has the protein content of 46%. There are many pellet foods that indicate that it does not cloud the water, this is definitely one good example. There was one incident that one of the hobbyists set the auto-feeder wrongly and a resulting of large amount of pellet was dropped into the water. It was surprisingly to the hobbyist to find that the water is still clear after one full day and one full night. Having good water condition, it is able to bring up the head growth of ranchu and oranda. Depending on individual liking, this pellet however doesn't seem to make the fish look so pump up. "
