Yes these are not the most durable product I must say. I wanted them primarily for hand spawning.

Thanks for that hot tip, think that paint will do the job well.

I will slow down the rust but nothing will stop it once the enamel is chipped or cracked. The enamel bowls have a better feel to them and you can carry a large bowl in one hand without worrying that the bowl will bend (like plastic) and spill everything.

One hand? You must be Hercules. They are 60cm across, filled with water its as heavy as bucket of water.

I know this has been asked to death in SG forums, but does anyone know where to find a white enamel basin these days?

For the standard basin, locally don't think there is any commercial seller, unless you get the used one from hobbyist or clubs who are willing to let go. Overseas you can get them from Thailand and of course Japan.

Hi all.
For those for are still searching for your white enamel basin without avail in Singapore...heheheh .... I found the solution...
Go to Taobao.com, and find one! It is cheap. Then get daigou65.com to deliver back to Singapore for you.
I managed to find a 38cm enamel basin with stainless steel rim. Definitely stands out from your usual basin rim with blue or black markings.

The cost of the basin is 22Yuan=> 4.5 SGD.
Cost of sea shipment for this is around 16 SGD average. No choice. shipment costs more than actual product.
I have just ordered mine. Will wait 20-25 days before it arrives.

Hmm, might want to order one, for viewing pleasure and for salt dip too.

Currently my quarantine is done in coloured plastic pail.

Jenson, this type is rubbish, I ordered two. Shipping costs 3x more than basin. After first usage in very low salt dosage, basin started to rust just after 3 days. If don't use salt will still rust but took a little longer. :naughty:
