I have one tank that is now full of ryukins. Somehow i fell in love with this type of goldfish, the round body, the lovely red and white colours, and the fact that it is a very strong breed also.

Here are some pics:

Take note of your water.

All your fish got cloudy eyes. A sure sign of bad water

Nothing wrong with the eyes. It's the camera - the pics are taken with flashlight.
Using it on people or cats/dogs gives red eyes or green eyes :)

I feed them once or twice a day with Hikari Fancy Goldfish (green and purple bags ) and a little Hikari Lionhead ( i use it also for the other fish ).

If i feed them more than twice a day they will float at the surface or waste so mutch. The water also starts to smell and i need to refresh it all the time. I do water changes now every monday and friday. About 20 to 50%, depends on how the fish behave and how mutch food they had in the last past days.

and please remember: these are NOT high quality fish. They don't sell any high quality fish in the Netherlands. I hope this will change in the future :)
